About the Course

A reflective online course on equality, diversity and inclusion for Therapists, focussing on working with a child holistically. This short course is designed for Educational Psychotherapists and Child Therapists seeking to deepen their understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion in practice. Grounded in the principles of intersectionality, the course explores how overlapping identities — including race, gender, class, sexuality, and ability — shape children’s experiences in educational and therapeutic settings. Through reflective exercises, case studies, and group discussions, this course equips therapists to see and work with the whole child, fostering environments where all children can thrive.

Meet Your Instructors: Bridget and Lynsey

Bridget is a qualified and experienced psychotherapist specialising in Educational Psychotherapy, with over 20 years’ experience working with children, young people and families across a wide range of educational settings. Her extensive experience across education and psychotherapy gives her a unique perspective on the importance of equality, diversity and inclusion in therapeutic work with children and young people. Lynsey  is Course Director at the Caspari Foundation, where she leads the Advanced Diploma in Educational Psychotherapy and the Certificate in Therapeutic Teaching. Alongside this, she works as an Educational Psychotherapist in schools across London, supervises fellow therapists, and serves on the UKCP EDI-BIIDE (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion - Belonging, Intersectionality, Inclusion, Diversity, Equity) Education, Training and Practice Committee and Executive Committee of the College for Child and Adolescent Psychotherapies.
